Abstract
Abnormal increase in urinary α-keto acids following fructose loading was less marked after the simultaneous administration of cocarboxylase or calcium pantothenate. Treatment using cocarboxylase or calcium pantothenate improved the disturbance of α-keto acid metabolism and the acetylation in these patients. Methionine was also effective in improving disturbance in α-keto acid metabolism.
