Abstract
The determination of the riboflavin content of vascular wall was studied. The total riboflavin content of aortic wall was almost equol to that of the skin, ranging from 1.30 to 1.05 μg/g (pigs, calves, dogs, and rabbits). FAD took the most part of the three types of riboflavin, followed by FMN and free riboflavin (ca. 1.0%). In vena cava, on the other hand, the riboflavin content was one third to one half of that of the skin. FAD occupied the most part and remainder was FMN, without free riboflavin. Relatively large amount of FMN was hold only in pigs. As a whole, the riboflavin content of the vascular wall was considerably smaller than that of cardiac muscle.
