Abstract
Liver cells of rat were divided into three subcellular fractions (nuclear, mitochondrial and soluble fractions) by centrifugation and the thiamine content of each fraction was determined. It was observed that in the soluble fraction the thiamine content was 62% of total thiamine of liver cell, while in the nuclear and mitochondrial fraction it was 24% and 13% respectively.
