Abstract
Thiamine was destroyed with the formation of 2-methyl-4-amino-5-aminomethylpyrimidine by ultraviolet irradiation and in the case of oxythiamine 2-methyl-4-hydroxy-5-aminomethyl-pyrimidine was obtained from the irradiated solution.
