Abstract

Quantitative microassay of pyridoxal phosphate was considered by using apotryptophanase. It is possible to determine to 0.01-0.5μg by this method. Biosynthesis route of pyridoxal phosphate was examined by this method, and it was shown that the route by which pyridoxal phosphate was synthesized from pyridoxine via pyridoxine phosphate was important physiologically. Pyridoxine phosphate is one of flavin enzyme and in the yeast TPN-dependent pyridoxine dehydrogenase and isopyridoxal reductase are consist. In addition the relation between vitamin B_6 and pregnancy, high fat meal, amino acid administration, cancer and adrenal hormone administration was made clear.
