Abstract

The chemical reaction of vitamin A aldehyde with antimony trichloride reagent resulted in the formation of isomerized vitamin A aldehyde at first. As the increase in the quantity of adding antimony trichloride reagent as well as in the time of the reaction, the decomposition of vitamin A aldehyde was accerelated towards the formation of a substance of which maximum absorption was detected at 375 and 305-315mμ.
