Abstract
The influence of thiamine deficiency on urinary excretion of oxalic acid in albino rats was studied. The oxalic acid in urine was estimated by Zarembski・Hodgkinson's method. The increasing excretion of oxalic acid in thiamine deficient rats was found and it suggests that the deficiency of thiamine blocks the pathway of glyoxylic acid to formic acid+CO_2 and increases the urinary excretion of oxalic acid.
