Preparation of the Reference Standards of Phylloqinone Oxide, Menaquinone-4 Oxide and Menadione for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography : Research Committee of Fat Soluble Vitamins, Subcommittee for the Preparation of Standard Assay Methods for K Vitamins in Biological Materials by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

Abstract

A collaborative study by five institutes was carried out to prepare the reference standards of phylloquinone oxide, menaquinone-4 oxide and menadione for HPLC. These samples have never been available. Each samples as the reference standard was specially prepared for this investigation and these purities were examined by the test method such as UV spectrum, absorbance, refractive index or melting point, TLC and HPLC. The reproducibility of these samples among five institutes are acceptable values as the reference standards of phylloquinone oxide, menaquinone-4 oxide and menadione for HPLC.
