Abstract
In Japan, choline is not recognized as an essential nutrient. This is in contrast to the United States where choline is thought of as a vitamin-like material based on scientific evidence. The adequate intake is determined for both age group and sex in the United States. Choline is an essential nutrient that has many benefits for human health. For this reason, it is important to get enough of choline from the diet. Furthermore, I present the outline in the function as not only precursor of acetylcholine but also growth hormone secretion.
