Abstract

This article is to analyze the user oriented silver ICT business. The issue of super ageing society in Japan is said to be an urban problem rather than rural areas. The reason is that many aging people who live alone in urban areas do not have any connection and network with neighboring communities, and it becomes serious social problems. That is related to an issue on “e-Inclusion.” Therefore, the author conducted surveys in cooperation with Shinjuku ku as the far growing district in Metropolitan Tokyo as well as Yokohama city. These surveys were by strong supports of Shinjuku senior club and Yokohama City government as well. Both cities are called as mega cities in Japan. In order to solve the critical issues on super aging society, ICT plays important role for assisting aging people.

ICT is one of the drivers to bring about a paradigm shift to a new information society. By promoting positive utilization beyond the constraints such as time and distance, it will become an engine to change the lives of aging people and bring out their life force.

For the society including the elderly it is necessary to create a society where ICT becomes commonplace. That is a realization of the convergence between information society and aging society. Therefore, this paper concludes that the user centric is important for silver ICT business the most.
