Abstract
Inverse halftoning is the method reconstructing the binary image with halftoning method to the continuous-tone image.Inverse halftoning has been used with device including the scanner or the copier.In previous,the method with the smoothing using the average filter or gaussian filter have been proposed.However,these method is insufficient to remove noise or to be edge enhancement.In this article,we proposed the inverse halftoning method using the emphasis of the edge and the smoothing filter of one of the smoothing filter.This method is an improvement on the gaussian filter.As a result,we obtained to the high quality of the reconstructing image.
