Abstract

We put a small dot sequence called “dot pattern” on a 3D object generated by a 3D printer; 3D drawing is performed on the 3D object using a digital pen. Each polygon of the 3D CG data is converted into a rectangle. A polygon including a pen tip is detected, and the position of the pen tip is calculated by our method. We design our dot pattern and an algorithm how to compute them . We simulate our 3D drawing and show feasibility.
