Prototyping of Brush Strokes Input Method Using 6-DOF Pen Tablet

Abstract

A calligraphic brush with a flexible tuft create complex handwriting while deforming the tuft in its writing operation. To Capture the operation to a computer, it is required to use an input device that has enabled to acquire not only the position and writing pressure but also the tilt and the rotation angle of the brush. In this research, we considered the method in order to reproduce the handwriting using above 6-DOF pen tablet as the input device and made a prototype system.
