Abstract
Illustrators often use a model of a posed 3D character as reference for drawing illustrations. However, it is not easy for conventional systems to pose 3D character models. We have developed a new system that supports the task of posing. Using this system, the user poses only a part of the model of the 3D character to pose the model of the 3D character. Retrieves the pose database created from the motion capture data using pose information as a query. As a result of the retrieve, the obtained pose information is copied and applied to the model of the 3D character to make it pose. By repeating these operations, the user gradually approaches the desired pose.
