In the previous paper, the experiments on stationary waves generated by a 'Wavedozer' were reported. The experimental results were compared with the calculated ones by a linear theory and they were fairly in good coincidence. However, in some detailed examinations the calculated wave profiles were a little different from the experimental ones. The reason was considered to be nonli near free surface effects which were neglected in the linear theory. In this report, the nonlinear free surface effects on wave profile were examined by Salvesen's perturbation method. It was found that the wave profile calculated by the nonlinear theory was generally in good agreement with the experimental wave profile and it was better than the one calculated by the linear theory. The wave making experiments by blowing air jet on the water flow were carried out. In this method, the disturbance pressure applied to the flow can be known easily and correctly. Some other wavemaking methods were tried to obtain fine wave profiles.
