Abstract
The primary purpose of the design of circulating water channel with the performance for measurements is to flow the water with a horizontal and mirrorlike surface and a uniform velocity distribution in the test section. This paper proposes a method to design the circulating water channel with the performance for measurements, taking into the consideration of the flow characteristics inside each duct. Using the proposed design method, a high speed circulating water channel, which needs sophisticated design technique is designed and built. The flow characteristic in the test section is experimentally investigated to confirm the propriety of the proposed design method.
