The structure of [(AuCl)2{μ2-1,2-bis(diisopropoxy)phosphano-1,2-dimethylhydrazine-P,P′}] ([(AuCl)2(μ2-PNNP)]) was determined by X-ray crystallography at 120 and 200 K. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group I2/a at both temperatures. The unit-cell dimensions at 120 K are a = 17.1941(12)Å, b = 7.1963(5)Å, c = 20.9917(14)Å, β = 109.62(1)°, V = 2446.6(3)Å3. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares on F2 to final values of R1 = 0.019 and wR2 = 0.044.
