Crystal Structure of Meclofenoxate Hydrochloride

Abstract

The crystal of the title compound, C₁₂H₁₆ClNO₃·HCl, belongs to space group P1 with cell dimensions a = 7.1485(8), b = 13.919(2), c = 15.156(2)Å, α = 100.280(7), β = 101.783(7), and γ = 96.176(7)°. The final R value is 0.050. There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the crystal. The conformations of the two molecules are significantly different, with one of them taking an extended conformation and the other a folded one.
