The crystal structure of [Cu2L2], H2L = 1,2-bis[3,4-dimethyl-5-ethyloxy-carbonyl-pyrrol-2-yl-methyleneamino]ethane, was determined by X-ray diffraction. The complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 31.825(3)Å, b = 10.7775(11)Å, c = 28.265(3)Å, β = 101.658(3)°, V = 9494.6(17)Å3, Z = 8, R = 0.0543. The structure shows that the complex possesses a double-stranded helical geometry.
