The structure of a trinuclear copper(II) complex with 1,1,1-tris(N-salicylideneaminomethyl)ethane ([Cu3L2]) of octahedral coordination geometry was determine by X-ray crystallography. [Cu3L2] crystallized in a monoclinic system, and was characterized thus: C2/c, a = 18.806(3), b = 12.832(2), c = 20.966(4)Å, β = 117.781(8)°, Z = 4, V = 4476.4(13)Å3. The crystal structure was solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least squares on F2 to final values of R1 = 0.0533.
