Crystal Structure of β-D-Fructofuranosyl 4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside

A crystal of β-D-fructofuranosyl 4-chloro-4-deoxy-α-D-galactopyranoside was prepared, and its crystal structure was determined at the space group P2₁. The cell parameters were a = 8.048(5), b = 8.682(5), c = 12.059(8)Å, β = 107.03(2)° and Z = 2. The crystal structure was solved by a direct method and refined by full-matrix least-squares to a final R value of 0.0529.
