Crystal Structure of β-D-Galactopyranosyl-(1→6)-β-D-fructofuranosyl-(2↔1)-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranoside

Abstract

A crystal of trisaccharide, β-D-galactopyranosyl-(1↔6)-β-D-fructofuranosyl-(2↔1)-2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranoside, was prepared and its crystal structure was determined at the orthorhombic space group P2₁2₁2₁ with cell parameters a = 8.7221(2), b = 9.6970(3), c = 31.8548(10)Å, Z = 4. A bent structure was observed, where β-D-galactopyranoside and 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-α-D-glucopyranoside rings made close contacts.
