The serology of 87 strains ofPlesiomonas shigelloideswas studied. Thirty O antigenic groups and 11 H antigens were defined within the 87 strains, and an antigenic schema consisting of 40 serovars was established. Some O antigens ofP. shigelloideswere identical or closely related to those of someShigellaserovars.
