感光性樹脂印刷版の開発

Photopolymer is an attractive functional material and is used as printing plates, photoresists, paints, inks and so on.
In this paper, two photopolymer printing plates developed by Toray Industries, Inc. are described. “TORELIEF” is a polyamide-based photopolymer plate for letterpress printing. Four types of the plate with relief hardness ranging from Shore D 40 to D 80 are introduced.
“TORAY WATERLESS PLATE” is a new positive-working presensitized planographic printing plate which enables offset printing without dampening water.
Toray developed a new principle for planographic imaging based on photo-induced adhesion between a specific silicone rubber layer and a specific photosensitive layer.
