Abstract
The extensive investigations into an optical resolution, being combined with the remarkable progress in the technology of liquid chromatography, resulted in a proposition of various chiral stationary phases, and several excellent columns are now commercially available. The chemical construction and the performances of those stationary phases are briefly summarized, among whih is given a little more detailed description of cellulosic stationary phases, newly developed potential ones.On those columns, a variety of racemates including drugs, agrochemicals, synthetic intermediates etc. were successfully resolved that will make it possible not only to determine a precise enantiomeric composition but also to prepare a quantity of chiral material.
