A new method of finding the approximate position of the center of buoyancy of a ship was introduced by the author, stating that the position of the C.B. lies very near the point which divides the draught of the ship by the ratio of C_b/C_w, or it is denoted by equation [numerical formula] where y represent the distance of C.
