A Simulation of Earthquake Occurrence

Part 1. A Mechanical Model

Abstract

A mechanical model is proposed which has proved itself quite successful in simulating various characteristic natures of the earthquake occurrence. The structure is demonstrated with some examples of its output.
Further analysis of its operation is expected to yield important suggestions toward understanding the physical processes on which problems of earthquake occurrence are based.
