Diffusion experinrents of N, P_O_5 and K_2O elements under two conditions were worked for eight granulated compound fertilizers, (18-18-18, 17-17-17, 16-16-16, 15-15 -15, 15-15-12, 14-14-14, 13-13-13, 8-8-8), using 1×1×30cm-diffusion cell units made of glass. One was 4℃ for a month using silicagel for colum chromato. cell (gel. : water=30g : 27.5ml), the other 35℃ for 2months using 100 mesh pass Tanashi soil (water containing fild condition). Diffusion of water soluble nutrients (NH_3-N, P_2O_5 and K_2O) was determined by extraction with water and centrifugion. The result was as follows:- Similar horizonal diffusion movements were obserbed for nitrogen and potassium on both silicagel and soil when the distance from the spot applied the granulated fertilizer particle was abouf 15 and 10cm. Phosphate was also almost fixed around the fertilizer applied spot on both (diameter, about 2〜3cm).
