Wind resistant design of a PC cable stayed bridge under erection is an important issue in bridge construction. Gust response amplitude can’t be evaluated by section model wind tunnel tests, and elastic model tests or gust response analysis is usually conducted to evaluate gust response of the bridge. Gust response analysis has cost advantage against elastic model test, however the accuracy of gust response analysis has not investigated well yet. The accuracy of gust response analysis is investigated in this research by comparing the results of analyses with elastic model tests. Results of the analysis correspond well with experimental results.
Response of PV Modules to Fluctuating Wind Loads with Wind Pressure Loading Actuator is shown. And the first mode of PV module is swollen shape. The natural frequency of the mode is higher than 20 Hz.
This paper investigated the effects of loading speed on stiffness and strength of a column-sill joint against pull-out using a high responsible actuator. The column and sill were jointed using a dowel or a metal plate. The speed of pull-out loading was controlled by displacement of the column with respect to the sill, and the loading test was conducted under 2 types of loading speed of 0.033m/s and 75mm/s. As a result, the effect of the loading speed on the pull-out strength and yield strength of the column-sill joint was not conformed. On the other hand, the stiffness of the joint increased and the displacement at the maximum strength decreased with an increase of the loading speed.
