    The objective of this study is clarify the process by which dairy farming has developed in the Moc Chau area (hearinafter referred to as Moc Chau) of Son La Province in northwestern Vietnam and evaluated the current situation of dairy farmers. The author conducted six field surveys based on direct interviews from 2012 to 2015 to obtain information from 60 dairy farmers and about 20 personal interviews, covering the introduction of dairy farming in 1956 to its present expansion in Moc Chau.Based on these interviws, the author indentified three phases in the process of .dairy farming development in Moc Chau: the introduction period of dairy farming (1956-1985), the reform period of dairy farming (1986-2000), and the development period of dairy farming (2001-present). In addition, the survey showed that the development of voluntary bottom-up production at the farmhouse level, in response to top-down orders of the government.

    The present article attempts to clarify the process of the introduction of the dairy farming for the point of Rumoi in Hokkaido before and during World War II through an examination of the dairy management within the jurisdiction of Rumoi Sub‐Prefecture Office. Expressly, in Tomamae village, the number of dairy cattle increased from the result of the Economic Reformation of Rural Reconstruction even after two terms, even the end of World War II(1944~1945).This fact shows a solid foundation regarding the dairy management in Tomamae village. In addition, This Paper pointed out that the three conditions to establish the dairy management, the central persons, extending of dairy industry, lying railroads.
