Referring published photographs and descriptions on the fragment documents recovered from Turfan area (_??__??__??_), it finds among them that there are of various sorts of printed Tripitaka series identified as (a) the Ch'i-tan edition (_??__??__??_), (b) an unidentified edition to be attributed for one of the Southern edition group (_??__??__??__??__??__??__??_), both of which have a printing format of 17 characters in each line, (c) the Chin edition (_??__??_) and/or possibly including a suceeding edition thereof and (d) the Imperial K'aipao edition (_??__??__??_), both are characterized by their format of 14 characters in each line. In Turfan area, it is presumable that the Ch'i-tan edition should have priority and the Chin edition have followed to it in their circulation.
