The x-ray spectra from an x-ray tube for diagnostic use has been measured using a curved crystal spectrometer of transmission type. A diagnostic xray tube with a tungsten target was operated under fluoroscopic (80,70,60kVp,0.25mAcont.) and roentgenographic (80kVp,10mA,0.2s) conditions.
Measured spectra were corrected concerning counting loss, integrated reflecting power of the analyzing crystal, absorption of air path and Be window of NaI (T1) scintillator.
We have compared our spectra with those measured by solid state detector and NaI(T1) scintillation counter which have been reported so far. These spectra do not consistent with each other.
The spectrum obtained under the roentgenographic condition shows higher intensity on the low energy region compared to the spectrum obtained under the fluoroscopic condition.
