The purpose of this research is to clarify the understanding of the genetic code in the citizens as the general knowledge. The group interview was executed to six women who attended the citizens open lecture concerning the inheritance as a method, and analyzed it qualitative and describing. The result and following points were shown. 【Expected it of the citizens open lecture】was common to all object <comprehensible story><correct knowledge> and <amusing story>. As for【Remained in the impression in the citizens open lecture】, inheritance in the past, the person who didn’t have the chance to have thought was <<pleasant story like trivia>> , the person who had the chance to have thought was << story in more detail >>. 【After the course was attended, it was made to awareness】 was common to all object <<interest in the inheritance>><<feeling of the inheritance>> and <<necessity of opening information about inheritance>>. The person who had the chance to have thought in the past about inheritance was also requested `the story in more detail’ in the <<interest in the inheritance>> than the person who didn’t have the chance to have thought in the past. <<Feeling of the inheritance>> was <anxiety and complaint about not having knowledge of inheritance> and it requested <<necessity of opening information about inheritance>>.
