     Our aim of developing multi-purpose mobility is to regard as Symbiotic Mobility with Intelligent watching system makes everyone Laugh every time and Everywhere which system can watch not only the user both directly with integrating biosensors and remotely with cloud service but also residents by the user safely and securely. Based on the consideration of the use scene and the solution, we showed transformable three shapes of one multi-purpose mobility (walker/mobility scooter/kick skater) and another shape which connects to wheel chair as prototype. This concept can make the mobility cost lower because of mass production and improve the negative image of mobility scooter use by elder people.

     In recent years, the medical care area and the engineering field come much closer than those in the past days, and, as a result, various life support devices are developed. It is thought that this legal maintenance based on ICF (International Classification of Functioning) classification, which is the international basic concept to think about the life of the person with a disability, has a big influence on these engineering technologies. The ICF classification played in particular a very important role in development, the adaptation and the introduction of the life support devices.

     I explained this not only the adaptation and introduction procedure which are based on an evaluation using with ICF but also the developing life support devices which will be demanded in future.

     In the welfare field, human interface plays an important role in connecting the user with the welfare support equipment. As this kind of interface has the effect of improving the QOL(Quality of Life) of the hospitalized inpatients and home care patients, many interfaces for assistive devices using image processing and sensors have been developed. Especially for patients with neurological disorders, an interface for communication is essential due to the limitation of the movable body parts. This paper aims to present a brief review of some developed interfaces, focusing on the operation of the electric wheelchair, the communication aid equipment, and an example of our experimental research using gazing actions.

     This paper presents the principle, characteristics and its analysis for bone conduction speaker. Bone conduction speaker has used under the sound noise, openable ear environment or by impaired hearing people because it is able to send the sound vibration directly to ear through the bone. In this article, introduce the 2 type of bone conduction speaker, then it is mentioned its analysis and results.

     The magnetic bearing and self-bearing motor are promising technologies to achieve long device durability and good blood compatibility of the blood pumps. Active position control of the levitated impeller provides safer operation of the blood pumps in the whole driving range of the pumps. Several types of the magnetically suspended blood pumps have been developed at Ibaraki University. An implantable thin ventricular device for mild heart disease patients has been developed with a self-bearing motor suspended in the radial direction. An extracorporeal maglev blood pump has been developed for acute heart disease patients. It indicates powerful pump performance over a flow rate of 20 L/min and ability to regulate the load of the natural heart by synchronizing the pump speed with the heartbeat. A total artificial heart with rotary blood pumps driven by a single maglev motor has a small size to implant it enough in patients. The magnetic suspension mechanism and pump features of these maglev pumps are described in the paper.

     Capsule endoscopes in practical use are being driven by a battery. Also it relies on movement of the body peristalsis. It is expected to be able to freely move can reduce examination time also by the installation of the Induction mechanism. It is difficult to cover all only by the capacity of the battery in terms of adding various functions. It is expected to be equipped with a wireless power transfer technology as its solution. In this paper examined the mutual impact for mounting a Induction and the wireless power transfer mechanism simultaneously. Received power of wireless power transfer mechanism decreased. However 30mW or more necessary to drive the capsule endoscope was obtained. Driving force of the Induction mechanism was improved.

     In order to develop low loss and low acoustic noise motor with high speed rotation, it is important to measure vector magnetic characteristics and two-dimensional magnetostriction of a non-oriented electrical steel sheet. The iron loss of motor core material increases depending on frequency. A ultra-thin non-oriented electrical steel sheet is developed to decrease the iron loss. The new material is expected to be applies in a wide range of motors. However, the vector magnetic characteristics and two-dimensional magnetostriction of the new material is not made clear. This paper presents measured results of the vector magnetic characteristics and the two-dimensional magnetostriction of the ultra-thin non-oriented electrical steel sheet under high frequency. The effect of difference in thickness is made clear.
