The Shallow Survey (International Conference on High-Resolution in Shallow Survey) has been held once every few years since 1999 by the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Multiple sonar manufactures participate to the Shallow Survey to investigate the data obtained under the same conditions. Participants will process the survey data, and create a brief report. In addition, hydrographic survey researchers and scientists compare the performance of each of the sonar and the object detection capabilities. The sounding data, the sound velocity data and tide data are summarized as Common dataset which is provided to participants. In this paper, the sounding accuracy and the object detection capabilities are compared using the Common Dataset 2012 and 2015.
