To achieve a comfortable speech interaction with a computer, it is expected that the computer can speak to us with human emotions and can recognize our feeling from our speech. In this paper, we ascertain physical features included in our conversation. We focus on the most three major emotions of the basic emotion and collect speech samples of each emotion. The speech signals with these emotions are compared with those which have no emotion by perceptual experiments, and are analyzed for their physical features. Furthermore, we perform a discriminant analysis with four discriminative predictors which indicate quantitative features of the emotions in the speech signals. Our analysis effectively shows features of the speech signals with the emotions: ‘surprise’, ‘sorrow’ and ‘joy’.

In this paper, we propose an illustration drawing system reflecting Kansei, the impression of the face. The system has the following advantages: a face in the illustration looks like the person in theoriginal picture; it can emphasize the person's impression; illustrations with expression can be obtained; whole body illustrations can be obtained; direction of the face can be adjusted in accordance with the body part; it has excellent interfaces; it can reflect user's sensitivity; and change of clothes is easy. In the system, first, a skin color region, a face part region and the edges are extracted from the inputted reference face image taken by a CCD camera. Position and shape of eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth and jaw in the image are extracted. Next, a face illustration with emphasized characteristics is drawn. Face expression is given to the illustration by using a face parts database in the system. Each part has a value for facial expression calculated from many questionnaires. Then, the hair type can be changed to keep a harmony of the body and the face. The face part is connected to the body part illustration which a user chooses. In addition, a user can select glasses from a glass database and they can be added to the illustration. The effectiveness of the proposed system is confirmed through various evaluation experiments.

Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) expects long-term decline of world economy by aging, and mentions following four basic measures that should be chosen to this economic-crisis prediction in each country:
    (1) Stabilization of the government-debts by control of expendiure.(2) Elderly people's working.(3) Reduction in unemployment rate.(4) Deregulation.
Since the determination of the fundamental principles for aged society at the cabinet meeting in 1985, the measures to such a fewer children aged society has been advanced in various forms. Especially the measures against social security, and the deregulation and the stabilization of the government-debts by control of expenditure have been considered in Japan already, but the study how Japan will grow in fewer children aged society has not been done. Especially elderly people's working is not considered enough yet.
Then this paper shows following things:
    (1) Aging makes the increase of tertiary industry.
    (2) It is indispensable that elderly people play an active part to maintain economic growth in the aged society, and it is necessary to study the way to make elderly people's working that may make a pensioner into a taxpayer in tertiary industry.
    (3) To perform this purpose, new intellectual property right system that employs elderly people's wisdom efficiently is necessary to be formed.
    (4) The basic idea for this system is shown as the result of studies about the relation between industrial property policy andindustrial promotion.

Touch properties are essential for material specifications both in fashion and also in textile domains, although, most of the time they are subjectively evaluated. The purpose of this research is to identify the female's Kansei in choosing proper fabrics for their traditional clothes either by physiological needs or by fashion trends. In this research, fabrics were examined by using Fabric Hand Evaluation. This evaluation is originally based on the hand-touch feeling-a total hand value (THV) evaluation.
Fabrics from traditional and new fabrics with different tactile properties are select to represent the current types of fabrics used in Malay traditional clothes of Baju Kurung and Baju Kebaya. Females range from age 20 years old until 30 years old with no professional and professional experience in fabrics are invited to participate in the categorization evaluation. The participants were asked to evaluate by using THV method. It was graded as Koshi, Numeri, Fukurami, Shari, Hari, Kishimi, Shinayakasa and Sofutosa. The range of Kansei attributes was selected to be representative of fabric's properties and the hand gestures were observed on how the participant re acts to the fabrics. Semantic differential (SD) method and Cluster Analysis is realized on words coordinates on the factorial space dimensions in order to determine the groups of attributes, which characterize the fabrics. The histogram of the level index is used to choose the number of classes. Factor analysis was used for analyzing the correlation structure of Kansei.
As a result, the factors related to fabric hand must exist which are not influenced by fashion. It is because the relationship between clothes materials and human feeling does not change with fashion trends, and this is indeed a factor of real quality. The accuracy of prediction using Kansei for ladies' traditional clothes fabrics can improve the appearance of the overall clothes.
