Trilocha varians, a bombycid moth, inhabits mainly in South and Southeast Asia and was first identified in Okinawa, Japan, in 2001. We reared T. varians in the laboratory at 25°C and 20°C and evaluated some phenotypes. Most traits were the same as the published report, but a few new characteristics were observed. The female yellow cocoon color was darker than that of the males at both temperatures. The larvae reared at 20°C produced cocoons lighter in color than those reared at 25°C. We also observed that the adult body color kept at 20°C was darker than those maintained at 25°C during the pupal stage.
