Mass Spectrometry
Mass Spectrometry publishes Research Articles, Review Articles, and Technical Reports covering a broad range of topics in fundamental and applied mass spectrometry.
Fundamental topics include, but are not limited to:
・mass spectrometer design and instrumentation;
・ion optics;
・ionization mechanisms;
・gas-phase ion chemistry;
・ion fragmentation;
・cluster ions;
・theoretical and computational mass spectrometry;
・spectral interpretation;
・software and data analysis.
Applied topics include applications of mass spectrometry in biological, chemical, environmental, geological, medical, pharmaceutical, forensic, food, materials, and physical sciences.
The journal welcomes scientifically sound studies reporting methodological innovation, technical development, validation, standardization, and practical applications of mass spectrometry.
Manuscripts reporting routine applications or simple optimization of well-established methodologies without sufficient scientific or technical advancement are generally not considered.
