JOURNAL FREE ACCESSSimple equivalent circuits of a 3-phase 12-pulse type X-ray unit are first given using linear lumped electric circuit elements, and then modified Heaviside operational calculus is applied. Theoretical waveforms of anode and cathode voltages and those of currents at mA meter in the following typical two cases coincide with experimental results at light loads: (1) abnormal voltages appearing at simultaneous 3-phase closing, and (2) abnormal voltages being suppressed at two-step (1-phase,3-phase) closing.View full abstractDownload PDF (1429K)
