A research on the seasonal activities of medusae was conducted from October 2000 to September 2002 in Enoshima-Shonan Port located at the innermost corner of the Sagami-Bay.The research confirmed 29 species of hydroid (HYDOROZOA), 1 species of box jellyfish (CUBOZOA), 2 species of scyphomedusae (SCYPHOZOA) and. 4 species of comb jellies (CTENOPHORA).

The polynoid scale worm Lepidonotus dentatus Okuda, 1954 was found in the tube of Diopatra sugokai lzuka, 1912 at Nojima, Yokohama, and in the tube of Thelepus japonicus Marenzeller, 1884 in Koajiro mud-flat in Misaki, Miura Peninsula. The taxonomy and ecological characters of the species are noted.

The distribution of exotic calcareous-tube polychaete Ficopomatus enigmaticus (Fauvel, 1923) was studied in Sagami Bay, Tokyo Bay, and Boso Peninsula, Central Japan. The worms of the species are usually gregarious and commonly appear on oyster shells in estuaries. I could find colonies of the introduced species in the following 13 river mouths or estuaries; two rivers in Shimoda, Izu Peninsula: Sagamigawa River, and Sakaigawa River, central Sagami Bay: Hirasakugawa River, Kurihama, mouth of Tokyo Bay: one river in Yokohama: Tamagawa River, Sumidagawa River, and Edogawa River, inner side of Tokyo Bay: Obitugawa River, Uchibo, Chiba: Isumigawa River and Choshifishing port, mouth of Tonegawa River, Choshi. I also added the ecological and reproductive notes on the species.

Fish fauna in the coast of southwestern area of the Miura Peninsula were researched and 402 species has hitherto been recorded from the area since 1988. In the recent survey 22 species are newly recorded from the area from November 2000 to October 2002. Especially, the following 6 species are the first records from Sagami Bay: Phoxacampus belcheri, Ocynectes modestus, Triso dermopterus, Apogon unicolor, Chromis lepidolepis and Scartella cristata.

Harpella melusinae was collected for the first time in Kanagawa prefecture, from a species of black fly larvae, Simulium (Simulium) japonicum. Larvae of the insect were collected at a small stream beside Tetsugyu-Osho-Jutou (100 m above sea level) near Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Natural History, lryuda Odawara, Japan. All the eleven larvae examined by dissection were infected with this fungus and each individual showed more than one hundred thalli in its midgut. Simulium (Simulium) japonicum is a new host record for H. melusinae.
