It was known that various kinds of analgesia were produced by stimulation of the acupuncture point. Among of them, the mechanism of the acupuncture analgesia caused by low frequency electrical stimulation of the muscle underneath the acupuncture point will be presented here based on the animal experiments.
Rats were used for present experiment s. Rats are useful animal for the pain mesurement, since the tail flick test of rats is one of the quantative analytic method for analgesia. The acupuncture point and non-acupuncture point It is essential to stimulate the acupuncture pointin obtaining the acupuncture analgesia.

The electrical specificity of acupuncture points has become a matter studied by many scientists in the world.
The conclusions of these studies at present are as follows:
    1) The acupuncture points have lower electrical cutaneous resistance than non-acupuncture points.
    2) These points ha ve rather higher electrical potential than the surrounding areas.
    3) These points have the characteristics which vary with the function of the human organism.
    4) These points are very important for the clinical diagnosis and the treatment of various diseases.
Ryodoraku therapy is an electro-stimulating therapy based on Ryodoraku basic concepts. In 1950, Dr. Nakatani discovered the Ryodoraku points and noticed also these electropermeable points were so similar with classic meridian points of the Chinese traditional medicine.
It is necessary for us to know how the Ryodoraku theory and Ryodoraku treatment are appreciated in the other countries.
We tried to translate a Chin ese paper titled“Research Advances in the Electrical Specificity of Meridians and Acupuncture Points”comparing with its English translation.
In these papers, we could know that Ryodoraku theory and its treatment were induc ed and criticized in many chapters and were rather nicely evaluated by many scientists in the world.
