    In March 2006 a fundamental plan to promote food education was decided at a government conference. It was decided to try and promote guidance about food the entire school education activities on each subject and a special activity, and effect of the food education related to the subject was examined in the present study. Two fifth grade classes at an elementary school in Nara City were divided into two classes. Intervention class with 37 students and contrast class with 38 students. After three months (From September through November of 2009) when self-observation and learning food education program was finished, on the result of survey the improvement in the food consideration, about food attitude, and food knowledge were seen in the intervention classes, and it was considered that the food education for a short term related to this subject was effective.
