A structural adhesive was examined by both the methods of ultrasonic measurement and static tensile test. From the results, the elastic constants of the adhesive were estimated. It was found that there exists a great gap between Young's moduli obtained by both these methods. We attempted to explain this gap by the vibratory behavior of elastomer that was dispersed in resin.

Open voltage measurement using insert voltage technique for reciprocity calibration of hydrophone from 100 kHz to 1 MHz is proposed. As the result of comparing sensitivities calibrated using ultrasonic transducers with different electrical impedance as T, it is confirmed that K_<open> derived using insert voltage technique can correct the output voltage amplitude of T affected by its own voltage drop. Improvement of the reproducibility of the calibration at low frequency is an issue in future. Additionally, we intend to estimate the uncertainty of the calibration.

We have been developing the measurement technique of ultrasonic power using calorimetric method as national standard. In this paper, we investigated the ultrasound transducers at operating frequency of 1 MHz, 2 MHz, and 3 MHz which are planned to use as a reference transducers. As the results, it is found that there were differences between the results by the calorimetric method and RFB. In the future work, the differences in values measured by RFB method and calorimetric method will be investigated. Also, we will investigate the measurement of uncertainly of ultrasonic power by calorimetric method.

In order to incorporate flow field function with ComWAVE, we have adopted semi-Lagrange method which has two kind of coordinates. The one is Euler-coordinates for physical quantities and the other is Lagrange-coordinates for solving the differential equation [2]. We have shown these effects using 45kHz ultrasonic propagation in air and the results are good agreement with theoretical solutions. In addition, in order to see applicability to 3Danalysis, we have shown these effects using the 3D analysis of flow meter with flow field.

In the reflection point search by rectangular sound sources, the arrangement of the sound source element was investigaed. In the sound source used in this study, smaller sound source elements were used, and each element was arranged the center of the element to deviate from the origin of the coordinates. Calculation results of the correlation coefficient showed that a noticeable fluctuation was supressed, and the improved search results were obtained by the proposed sound source. However, the images of the search results obtained by calculation were not clearly, and it is considered that the further examinations about the arrangement of sound source elements are necessary.

In this paper, TiO_2-SiO_2 glass thin films were evaluated by the LFB-UMC system. We demonstrated that the CTE characteristics of TiO_2-SiO_2 glass thin films could be controlled with C(TiO_2) of targets and substrate temperatures.
