Prof.Kotaro Honda invented the KS Magnet Steel in l916. It was the strongest parmanent magnet in the world at that time. He was the director of the 2nd Division of the Provisional Institute of Physical and Chemical Research which was initiated in Tohoku Imperial University. The Institute was renamed as the Research Institute for lron. Steel and Other Materials in 1922. Prof. Honda and the members of the National Research Institute of Industrial Arts had made every efforts to produce the industrial art objects using KS Magnet Steel since 1931. They were developed into the special products in Sendai, Japan before the World War II.
