The purpose of this study was to classify Judo Nagewaza by being based on movement structure. Phase structure advocated by K.Meinel was taken notice of as the movement structure of Waza. The analysis was made by means of morphology of movement impressionistic analysis of movement process and proof of former literature. The phase structure of Nagewaza was revealed, and the movement on each phase was typed to consider classification of Nagewaza. First, the concept of the terms "Tsukuri" and "Kake", which means the movement process of Nagewaza, was considered. As a result, it was revealed that preparatory phase was the movement for "Tsukuri" and main phase was the movement for "Kake" Second, the movement on both preparatory and main phase for Nagewaza was typed. The movement of "Tsukuri" which was preparatory phase was typed into rotation and non-rotation based on the longitudinal axis of the body. The main phase "Kake" in Tachiwaza was typed into standing with both legs or one leg from the viewpoint of standing. The main phase "Kake" in Sutemiwaza was typed into the front movement and the back movement from the viewpoint of movement direction. And Nagewaza was classified by combining of these movement types of preparatory and main phase. The subjects of the classification were 58 Nagewazas out of 67 provided by Kodokan, because the other 9 Nagewazas could be considered as tactics. Tachiwaza was classified into four types, which were "rotation and standing with both legs", "rotation and standing with one leg" "non-rotation and standing with both legs", and "non-rotation and standing with one leg ".Sutemiwaza was classified into three types, which were "rotation and the front", "rotation and the back", and "non-rotation and the back". Systematic classification of Judo Nagewaza based on movement structure was revealed in this study. Prospect was shown that this systematic classification would be a basic to choose Nagewaza in practice.
