For almost ten years after Socrates's death, Plato travelled around many places including South Italy, Egypt, and Sicily. And then, Plato opened his 'Akademeia'. This paper tries to show that Plato's travelling was not simply for leaving from some troubles after his master's death, but also for searching out his own way of philosophizing to sublate Sophists awell as Socrates.
