Once a disaster occurs, it threatens people’s lives and properties, and has serious impacts on crisis management, such as disruption of physical distribution, isolation of villages, and stagnation of economic activities. This report is based on a bridge damage survey, which is different in character from the specifications of temporary bridges that have been used up to now. We have been studying rescue preparations for bridges as a resilient measure for disaster prevention. In order to establish a category of emergency temporary bridges, we propose the minimum required performance of the bridge in disaster zone.
