In the narratives which include the description of seeing through in Saikaku's works, the level of vision in the description is very close to that of Saikaku's as the structure of expressions. What Saikaku's eye level sees is described in words. Therefore the objects for him to see through are not the realities themselves but what is described in words. It is almost impossible to separate the desire to describe something from the desire to see through something. So is it to separate the desire to see through and the seeing through of the desire. It seems to me that the pleasure of Saikaku literature exists in the arbitrary worlds constructed by him out of his words.
