The rise of movie streaming services has led to changes in viewing styles
and viewer needs. In light of these changes, it would be useful to identify the
common elements among movies that are highly praised on these platforms
and, ultimately, to establish guidelines to facilitate movie production for this
new environment. In this study, we performed text mining of movie reviews
to this end. Further, through comparison with the elements common in poorly
rated movies, we increased the reliability of our analytical results. In addition
to establishing guidelines for high-quality or good movie-making, we
demonstrated that movies that enjoy a certain level of praise share these
guideline elements and suggested some elements that make up a good movie.
