This garden has been a prize winning work at the Chaumont International Garden Festival. It was constructed on the spot in France and was open to visitors between April and October 2009. The poem 'I am not alone', written by the French poet, Paul Elouard gave the basis for the concept of the garden. The visitors were welcome to take a seat on a bench under a cherry tree and read the poem from a wooden book placed on the bench. White sand with indigo waves and scattered islands of plants stretched in front of their eyes. Silver-leaves were the main plants on display and among them lustrous thistles waved their colourful heads. The rustic wooden bench and the book of the poem, the contrast of the seasonal, changing colours of the scenery expresses the joy of life overreaching time and space. This garden gave the experience of the world of the 'celebration of love and nature' to its visitors.
